At Modern Kids Design, we’re always thinking of creative ways to reflect on and celebrate the holidays. Happily, we've been hearing more and more about the importance of practicing self-care ...including over the holidays.  It's caught on in a big way over the past few years. Often, though, the images and ideas associated with it are all about pampering. We’re sure you’ve seen some of them—massages, face masks, pedicures, etc. While these activities are a great part of self-care, we wanted to add to the traditionally spotlighted activities and invite you to expand your self-care regimen this Valentine’s Day (and beyond).

So how are we defining self-care? While we are going to talk about it more in an upcoming post, for starters, we feel that self-care encompasses more than the occasional treats to help you reduce stress. While booking a spa day (or hour) for yourself is great (really great actually), why not also consider consistent self-care practices that will help you remain relaxed and focused over time?
